Joseph T. Spence - co-founder/owner, writer/director/producer Spence is a Mississippi native based in Nashville, Tn. A former staff writer for Sony Music Publishing and an original member and founder of the power-pop trio The Semantics - Geffen Records. As a producer, engineer and musician Spence has worked with such artists as Ben Folds, Young Buck, Otha Turner, Holly Williams and Amy Grant to name a few. In 2000 Spence began working with the Nashville based video production company Vintage Flick where he produced a number of music videos. In 2004 he wrote and directed "Who's Calling" an 18 minute short film which had a short festival run. The film caught the eye of Compass Records CEO William McInnes who was looking to form an original film production company. McInnes and Spence eventually formed Veritas Media Group, a full service production company based in Nashville, Tn. Veritas has now produced a number of short films, music videos and EPKs, and is currently in pre-production on their first feature.
Mr. McInnes has spent the past 15 years as a private investor and a supporter of several local and national businesses and activities. During this time, he has been instrumental in the organization and capitalization of several high growth companies. Representative companies where he was a founder, a director and instrumental in arranging the company’s capital include Diversified Trust: A privately held investment management firm with $3.0 billion under management; Community Education Partners: A provider of education services to at risk middle and high school students; Compass Records Group, Inc.: An independent record label. |
